About
YiziShare is a Windows LAN chat and file-sharing tool: open it and go, with automatic discovery of devices on the same subnet. Chat like you're on QQ, send files like messages, and browse shared folders like local drives—all peer-to-peer within the LAN, with no server, no login, and data that never leaves your intranet.
Core Capabilities
- Chat + sharing + file transfer in one: A single window covers all your LAN collaboration needs—no more switching between tools
- Automatic device discovery: UDP broadcast heartbeats with unicast fallback, plus ARP / ICMP / TCP port triple probing—just open it and you're online, no IP entry required
- Streaming large-file transfer: Control and data channels are separated, with raw binary streams sent directly—no base64 bloat, no chunking, no size limit
- Receiver confirmation: Connections are only established after the recipient accepts, paired with disk-space pre-checks to prevent transfer flooding
- Offline resend and receipts: Messages queue locally when the other party is offline and resend automatically once they're back; delivery and read status are visible throughout
- Built-in shared folder browsing: List and icon views, drag-and-drop upload and download—browse someone else's shared drive just like a local one
- Smart SMB diagnostics: Connection failures return real error codes with step-by-step Chinese repair guidance, and local issues can be fixed with one-click elevation
- Wake-on-LAN (WoL): Send magic packets to power on offline devices remotely, then pick up the transfer where you left off
Technology and Open Source
Built on .NET 8 + WPF with self-contained publishing (no runtime installation needed), portable and ready to use straight from the archive; open source under the MIT license, with 172 unit tests covering the communication protocol, storage, and diagnostic paths.
